Moving Non-Allowables
Packing Supplies | Packing GuideMoving Non-Allowables
When preparing for home relocation, there are a number of important things to remember when packing your possessions before moving. Non-allowables refer to items that which cannot be shipped due to a number of reasons. As an agent of Mayflower Transit, we at Dahill Moving and Storage seek to uphold very high standards in order to ensure the safety of your belongings and our personnel.
Non-allowables do not only refer to hazardous or perishable materials like gasoline and unpreserved food products, but also to less obvious ones like nail polish and car keys, the latter of which falls under the category of Personal Importance/Sentimental Value. It is suggested that items that fall under this category are transported personally.
However, there are some special cases in relation to moving non-allowables that clients can inquire about. For example, sometimes agents may agree to transport perishables that are properly packed and require no servicing in transit. This usually comes with a time and/or distance limit.
Dahill's residential relocation experts can give you advice on which items are non-allowable for transport. Call us now for more information.
