Who would have thought that from Brooklyn, NY, movers as successful as Dahill would emerge? We would hazard to guess that Dahill's current scale of success as a New York moving service company was not in any of our founder Salvatore DiBattista's (1896-1962) wildest dreams way back in 1928. This was about the same time that Salvatore realized that, with the advent of refrigerators, staying in the ice delivery business would be an unwise choice. So being the intelligent businessman that he was, he began delivering refrigerators, and that soon segued into what would become one of the most successful moving companies New York had ever seen.
The next major step was the company's association with the Mayflower Transit Company in 1963. This move expanded our in- and out-of-state residential relocation capacity greatly, making us an even more effective New York moving service.
Salvatore's choice of Dahill as a company name solidified our identity as Brooklyn, NY movers, as this was the name of the Brooklyn street he lived in. But it took a concerted effort from the whole Dahill team to get us to where we are today: On top of the New York moving industry.
